The stallion who has always lived up to his promise in all his offspring. Caretano Z was one of the most promising show jumping horses of his generation. As a 7-yr-old Caretano Z won the prestigious WC for Young Horses Lanaken under Jos Lansink. Then the combination made a splendid debut in the international show jumping sport during the World Cup Finals in Gothenburg. A fatal loin rupture struck Caretano Z in 2001 right at the time that he stood at the beginning of a very promising international carrier. Caretano Z descends of show jumping horse supplier Caretino (Caletto II) from the famous Holsteiner lineage 104a. Cartoon Z and Chicago I Z.
From his first crop in Holstein Caretano Z already produced the international show jumping horse Cartano ridden by Rudi Helsen. From his first two breeding seasons at Studfarm Zangersheide a series of offspring are now successfully performing at international level on the light tour, such as Candlelight Z (Wil Schellekens), Carlaya Z (Judy-Ann Melchior), Cartoon Z (Stefan Corten), Cartree Z (Alexander Schill), Chicago I Z (Judy-Ann Melchior) and Cracky Z (Stefan Corten).
